CMU attended The 2nd Taiwan Higher Education United Recruitment in Mongolia 2010

To promote medical education and welcome students from all over the world, China Medical University(CMU) attended “The 2nd Taiwan Higher Education United Recruitment in Mongolia 2010” on August 28th and 29th which was hosted by Taiwan Education Center and Global Leadership University in Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia. Nine institutes including Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan, Asia University, Fu-Jen Catholic University, Ming Chuan University, National Dong Hwa University, National Taichung University of Education, Taipei Medical University, Tunghai University, and China Medical University, joined this recruitment activity.

Before the event the participants attended the TV programs such as popular Talk-show and Morning News to introduce each university and advertise the coming recruitment on that weekend.

On August 28th, The 2nd Taiwan Higher Education United Recruitment
opened grandly and over 500 students came to the opening ceremony. Many parents came to this event with their children and asked a lot of details about curriculums and applications, indicating that parents in Mongolia highly value their children’s education. Most participants were concerned about the scholarships, English courses provided by universities and the local life expenses. More than 30 students visited CMU booth and expressed their interest to study in medical related departments in CMU. In the end of the event, Prof.Nathan K.H. Liu,Director of Taiwan Education Center in Mongolia stated that from this recruitment we could understand the Mongolian students’ eagerness to study in Taiwan and thus hoped that in the future the Ministry of Education of Taiwan can sponsor more activities such as this recruitment to promote Taiwan’s Higher Education.
