Dr. Mike Gordge from University of Westminster visited CMU

On January 11th 2011.Dr. Mike Gordge, Principle Lecture of College of Life Sciences, University of Westminster, visited China Medical University (CMU). The main purpose of this visit was to discuss the possibility to establish the collaborations in biomedical sciences.

Located in London, UK, University of Westminster was established in 1838. It has seven schools including School of Life Sciences, School of Electronics and Computer Science, School of Media, Art and Design, School of Law, School of Architecture and the Built Environment, School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Languages, and Westminster Business School. In 2010 University of Westminster signed the collaboration agreement with CMU and arranged the summer courses for CMU students during August.

Dr. Mike Gordge introduced the School of Life Sciences of University of Westminster and expressed his intent of seeking collaboration of research in biomedical sciences. Prof. Chang-Hung Chou, Dean of College of Life Sciences, together with other participants discussed about the differences between the two universities’ credit systems and were looking forward to the future collaboration in areas of common interests.
