Delegation of Tianjin Medical University visited CMU

On June 26th, 2011, Dr. Yao-Gang Wang (Vice-President) and Dr. Feng-Ling Guo (Dean of International Medical School) of Tianjin Medical University visited China Medical University (CMU).

President of CMU Professor Jong-Tsun Huang held a meeting to welcome these distinguished guests with the participation of Vice-President Dr. Walter Chen and Dean of College of Medicine, Prof. Ching-Yuang Lin. Both parties discussed on the topic of the internationalization and faculty development. President Huang expressed his appreciation of Tianjin Medical University’s brilliant achievement of internationalization, especially the number of international students. Dr. Yao-gang Wang, Vice-President of Tianjin Medical University said that like the situation in Taiwan, the Ministry of Education of Mainland China also encourages the universities to recruit foreign students. Dean of International Medical School Dr. Feng-Ling Guo explained how they carry out the English-taught programs in their university. Dr. Guo said that in order to encourage their local faculties to lecture in English, they establish Training Programs and issue certificates to those who passed the test. President Dr. Huang and Vice-President of CMU Dr. Walter Chen also suggested that CMU visit Tianjin Medical University someday to get a better understanding.

The delegation of Tianjin Medical University was grateful for CMU’s reception and invited the President and representatives from CMU to visit Tianjin Medical University in the near future.
