Signing a New Agreement: The 2+2 Bachelor of Science Program with Georgia State University!

In order to provide our students with more opportunities to study abroad, the President of China Medical University (CMU) Prof. Jong-Tsun Huang led a delegation from CMU and Asia University (AU) to sign a new Agreement for the  2+2 Bachelor of Science Program with Georgia State University (GSU) Provost Dr. Risa Palm on December 19, 2013.

The 2+2 Bachelor of Science Program is a platform provided for CMU students to have two bachelors’ degrees in four years; the student would then spend the first two years in CMU and the last two years in GSU. GSU is our partner university in America and it has been working several agreements with us, including a Dual Degree Graduate Student Research Program, summer programs and Faculty Mentoring Program. GSU offers our students with in-state tuition which is the same tuition rate as local students. Prof. Cheng-Wen, Lin states that we will initiate this opportunity in the Department of Biological Science and Technology, and we are hoping that other departments will join us in the future.

According to the US News & World Report, Georgia State University's ranking in the 2014 edition of Best Colleges is National Universities, Tier 2. Georgia State University (GSU) is a public research university in downtown Atlanta,Georgia, USA. Founded in 1913, it has a student population of 32,000. Students have more than 200 majors, minors, and degree programs to choose from and outside of class, there are more than 250 student organizations to check out. It has foreign students from 160 different countries which would provide Taiwanese students with great chances to experience different cultures.
