Chinese Acupuncture Evidence-Based Medicine In International Academic Arena- Professor Jaung-Geng Lin Received International Medical Contribution Awards

On 11th November, Professor Jaung-Geng Lin has received International Medical Contribution Awards granted by Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Being a renowned pioneer in Chinese acupuncture, Professor Jaung-Geng Lin has also been under the position as a professional consultant in both the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) and World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCNS). With the help of evidence-based medicine research, Professor Jaung-Geng Lin has proved the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in analgesic effect. The hard-working of Professor Lin has globalized acupuncture in the world academic platform and greatly enhance Taiwan’s reputation internationally.

Starting from 2013, Professor Lin has been holding the position as a consultant in UNESCO. In 2014, he delivered the speech- The Use of Acupuncture in Emergency Medical Services, and had been invited as the representatives of World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS).

In 2017, Professor Lin is the one and only Taiwanese scholar who is invited to WHO meeting for the first time since Republic of China (Taiwan) had left the United Nation (UN).

Moreover, Professor Lin has always been pulling out all the stops in conducting speeches regarding to the topic- Health Cultivation of Chinese Medicine. Also, with the tremendous effort given by Professor Lin, the picture album Passion and Carehas been successfully printed.

In appreciation of Professor Lin’s contributions, Ministry of Health and Welfare has rewarded Certificate of Gratitude in the name of Taiwan IHA.
