The 60th Anniversary Celebration- Overseas Alumni Reunion

“It’s been more than 50 years since I graduated from the school. It’s like a child who has traveled a long distance coming home. My eyes filled with tears of joy.” One of the 3rd class of Medical graduates Dr. Lin San-Guang said.

Alumni Associations from all over the world including the Alumni Association of North America led by Dr. Chen Guan-Cheng, the Alumni Association of Japan led by Dr. Hsu, Wen-Po, graduates from the first class…etc. got together to join the 60th CMU’s anniversary celebration.

On the early morning of June 5th 2018, Chairman Tsai Chang-Hai, Chancellor of CMU Lee Wen-Hwa and faculty members greeted hundreds of alumni from all over the country and the world. To share the academic achievements and contributions the university has accomplished in the past six decades with alumni members, several celebratory events and receptions were designed including featured talks, tours and music concerts. Each member also received welcome gifts from Chairman Tsai to express CMU’s thankfulness to the alumni.

On the CMU’s 60th anniversary ceremony, the Vice President of Taiwan Chen Chien-Jen, Taichung City Mayor Lin Chia-Lung, City University of Hong Kong President Kuo Way, University of Newcastle Vice Chancellor/President Caroline McMillen, Mahidol University President Banchong Mahaisavariya and renowned special guests from all professions gathered to join this grand celebration. The celebration was concluded with a warm welcome reception and the university looked forward to welcoming alumni to campus soon.
