CMU School of Post-Baccalaureate Chinese Medicine Provided Volunteer Clinic in Yunlin County

Date: October 21, 2018

On October 21st, China Medical University School of Post-Baccalaureate Chinese Medicine (CMU PBCM) formed a volunteer clinic team and went to Erlun township, Yunlin county to give volunteer medical consultation. Six professional Chinese medicine doctors from CMU participated. They provided free medical care to the local community by doing acupuncture, massage, medical treatment, and health education. The volunteer clinic was greatly supported by Yunlin Chinese Medicine Association. Many local Chinese medicine practitioners also came to join the volunteer clinic.

Before heading to the volunteer clinic, Kung-Wen Lu, the professor of CMU PBCM, taught students the clinical diagnosis skills and ideas. The volunteer clinic provides a good venue for students to practice clinical skills.

In the recent years, CMU PBCM cooperate with local doctors and provide free medical consultation to remote districts regularly. The main purpose of the volunteer clinic is not only to provide medical service, but also to help local residents who need further treatment to receive medical care in neighboring institutions continuously. The next volunteer clinic will be held on December 2nd. CMU PBCM welcomes more like-minded doctors to join the volunteer clinic.
